Norma May Horn passed away on September 10, 2019 at her home on Lake Raymond Gary in Fort Towson, Oklahoma. She was born on November 18, 1924 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma to Archi Miller Roden and Mary Francis (Davis) Roden. Norma graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1942. She attended a two-year business college in Oklahoma City, then returned to Roosevelt where she met and married her love, John Oliver Horn. They were married September 16, 1949 and were blessed with 41 years of marriage before John’s passing on November 4, 1990. Norma was a valued employee at Security State Bank of Roosevelt for many years. Norma and John had two sons, John R. Horn and Robert W. Horn, both of Fort. Towson, OK. She had may church friends at the First Baptist Church of Fort Towson. Norma loved everyone and was a good friend to all. She loved her granddaughters and her great-grandchildren very much. Norma enjoyed her home on Lake Raymond Gary, going to church, listening to gospel, country, and bluegrass music, and word search puzzles.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
Norma is survived by her sons, John Horn, and wife, Debby, and Robert Horn; grandchildren, Christal (Horn) Matthews, and husband, Chad, and Brandy (Horn) Lewis, and husband, Kevin, and Katrina Owens.; great-grandchildren, Nolan Matthews, Chase Matthews, Kyle Gage, Trent Gage, Brooke Gage, Trace Lewis, and Kyle Lewis.
The family appreciates David’s Home Health and May’s Hospice Care, they did an excellent job in caring for Norma.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America in Norma’s honor.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on September 21, 2019, 1pm, at the First Baptist Church in Fort Towson, OK, with Brother Dean Young officiating. A meal will be served at 11:30am for those who would like to attend; guests are also invited to sign the guest book or send private condolences to the family at www.mtolivefh.com.
