May Nell (Logan) Simpson

Funeral services for May Nell (Logan) Simpson will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hugo, OK with Bro. Rick Westbrook officiating with burial to follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK. May Nell passed away Friday, November 30, 2018, in Stillwater, OK, at the age of 89.

May Nell (Logan) Simpson was born July 24, 1929, in Henrietta, TX to Earl B. Logan and Lillie Edna (Wright) Logan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Soper, OK, and had lived in the Soper area for most of her life. May Nell was a graduate of Soper High School and worked at Wood Bros. Store in Antlers, OK. She was Housing Director for Little Dixie until her retirement in 1994. May Nell loved baking cookies, giving to others, and sewing clothes for her children.

May Nell was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Don Logan and H.T. “Butch” Logan; one great grandson, Rhett Levi Ernst; sister-in-law, Dorothy Logan.

May Nell is survived by her children, Patricia Jesmer and husband, Patrick, of Mesquite, TX, Nancy Wood and husband, Bob, of Stillwater, OK, Barbara Cusick and husband, Tom, of Ponca City, OK, Harry Lee Simpson and wife, Elaine, of Owasso, OK; two brothers, Harold Logan and wife, Meda, of Enid, OK, Rogene Logan, of Denison, TX; two sister’s-in-law, Surilda Logan, of Soper, OK, and Arlene Logan, of Poteau, OK; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren; As well as a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The First Baptist Church of Soper - Youth Activity Fund, Karman Legacy Hospice - Stillwater, OK, and the Alzheimer's Association.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, December 4, 2018, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., at the Prater Lampton Mills and Coffey Funeral Home Chapel.
