He served in the U.S. Army as a Rocket Specialist in Italy during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and worked for Push County for about 16 years. He also worked for the Rattan School for several years.
Jesse enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to play music, anything he could get his hands on. He was especially good at playing the guitar, fiddle, and mandolin. If it had strings, he could play it. When he was a young man, he would play his fiddle for dances in the Finley Community. While he was in the Army, he got to play music at dances and was allowed to wear his civilian clothes while playing. He had a great passion for music and playing, he played many instruments in the church up until just a few weeks ago. He enjoyed pitching and playing softball. Most of all he loved Jesus, was a prayer warrior and a soul winner. He loved his family and prayed for them daily.
