Obituary

Funeral services will be held for Charlena Pettyjohn Jackson, 64, Wright City, who died Thursday, September 27, 2018, in Paris, Texas.

Charlena Pettyjohn Jackson was born September 2, 1954, in Hugo, OK to Charlie and Yolanda (Ammutinato) Pettyjohn. She had lived in Wright City, OK for the past 39 years and worked as an accountant for various agencies. She worked at Weyerhaeuser, McCurtain County Educational Coop, etc. She enjoyed photography, working with her flowers, and spending time with her dogs, Little Boy and Sandy. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Billy Dale Pettyjohn, David Pettyjohn and Charlie Pettyjohn, Jr.; and sister, Sandra Stevens.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Schrum of Sacramento, California and son, Jason James Jackson of Valliant, OK; two brothers, John Pettyjohn of Bethany, OK and Lee Roy Pettyjohn of Silo, OK; grandchildren, Lauren Jackson, Joselyn Jackson and Jason Jackson of Valliant; one uncle and aunt, William (Billy) Pettyjohn and Kathy of Seminole, Texas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 3rd, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel, 303 N. 2nd Street in Hugo, OK.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wright City, OK with Bro. Jon Hollinghead officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Charlena's honor.
